Seasonal Flu Service 2021/22

The Advanced Service for Seasonal Influenza Vaccination is now live.

Introducing PreConsult

PreConsult is a new feature developed for this year's flu season. It allows initial information to pre-populate the 'flu service template ahead of the pharmacist consultation. PreConsult can be used in two different ways:

  • Patients can scan a QR code on their own smartphone and enter their own information
  • Pharmacy team members can enter patient information, in the pharmacy or during a telephone booking

By reducing the pharmacist/patient contact time, PreConsult helps reduce infection risk and increases the capacity of the pharmacy to deliver larger number of vaccinations. You can download the PreConsult User Guide for more information on how it works.

Service Delivery Supporting Materials

Providing a new, streamlined service template to further increase capacity, PharmOutcomes provides Personal Demographic Service (PDS) patient lookup, National Care Record access, electronic transmission of notifications after vaccination to the patient's GP directly into their clinical system and automatic vaccination claim population in the NHS BSA Manage Your Service portal.

The following items can also be accessed within the service in the left-hand sidebar for easy reference
